Dabei geht es darum, künstlerisch-mimetisch eine Tasse herzustellen, die (fast) identisch mit den industriellen Massentassen ist. Kauft man in der Mensa einen Kaffee, erhält man sein Pfand nur durch die Rückgabe der Tasse in einem speziellen Automaten zurück, der das Gewicht und die Form der abgegebenen Tassen prüft.

Mit dem handwerklich hochaufwendigen Schlickergussverfahren werde ich eine Tasse kopieren, die die technisierte Tassenrücknahme besteht, um die Pfandinfrastruktur an der Hochschule künstlerisch zu unterlaufen. Nach einem künstlerischen Eklektizismus an Laboruntersuchungen (ua Röntgen) und Selbstversuchen um die Funktionsweise des Pfandautomats zu eruieren, folgt der schwierige Prozess die richtigen Material- und Größenverhältnisse für den Keramikbrennofen herauszufinden. Diese Experimente spiegeln den Aufwand, den Regeln und Grenzen erfordern, um sich deren Sinn zu erschließen

The aim is to artistically and mimetically produce a cup that is (almost) identical to the industrial mass-produced cups.

If you buy a coffee in the canteen, you can only get your deposit back by returning the cup to a special machine that checks the weight and shape of the cups handed in. Using the highly elaborate slip casting process, I will copy a cup that passes the mechanised cup return process in order to artistically undermine the deposit infrastructure at the university.

After an artistic eclecticism of laboratory tests (including X-rays) and self-experiments to find out how the deposit machine works, the difficult process of finding the right material and size ratios for the ceramic kiln follows. These experiments reflect the effort that rules and boundaries require in order to make sense of them

이 프로젝트는 산업적으로 대량 생산된 컵을 예술적, 모방적으로 복사하려고 시도합니다. 학교 식당에서 커피를 구매 시 컵 보증금도 함께 지불해야하며, 보증금을 돌려받으려면 그 컵을 특수한 반환 기계에 넣어야 하는데, 이 기계는 반납된 컵의 무게와 형태를 검사합니다. 저는 슬립 캐스팅 기법을 통해 컵 반환 시스템의 검사를 통과할 수 있는 복제 컵을 만들고자 합니다. 이를 통해 학교 내 보증금 인프라를 예술적으로 우회하거나 교란하고, 반환 기계의 작동 원리를 알아내기 위해 X선 촬영을 비롯한 여러 분석적 방법과 직접적인 실험을 진행한 뒤 도자기 가마에서 소성했을 때 올바른 재료적 특성과 크기 비율을 얻는 과정을 거칩니다. 이러한 실험은 규칙과 경계의 의미를 이해하고 파악하기 위해 우리가 기울여야 하는 노력, 즉 규칙이 요구하는 복잡한 과정 자체를 비추어 봅니다. 컵을 동일하게 제작 후 레스토랑 안의 컵 회수 기계에 반납, 컵 보증금 1유로를 벌어들이려고 하며, 기계의 반납 메커니즘(컨트롤 시스템)을 통과하려고 시도합니다.
